In this trip we’ll explore one of the greenest areas of Africa: the Congo Basin, home to the mighty Congo River with countless side arms and vast deep forest with a large variety of plants and animals and also tribes which have been living according to centuries-old traditions ever since. We will spend a lot of time in our boat going from village to village, exploring and walking around in the marshlands and forest and we will also fish for the notorious Goliath Tiger Fish, which can only be found in Congo.

Introduction to the Congo-Basin: one week on the river

The Congo Basin is a massive area home to millions of people, a large variety of animals and flora and has the last immense rainforests of our planet: important ecosystems which are of incredible value for our planet. In this trip we will descend on the Alima River all the way to the Congo River in which you’ll get an introduction to this fascinating region.
