Tour to see wild bonobos in the deep jungle, not in a zoo or in the capital. The bonobo only lives in Congo. For this expedition, we are collaborating with a small initiative in the forest below Mbandaka where a group of bonobos are followed by trackers. Congo Travel and tours offers the only organized safari where you can successfully see bonobos and also provide a great introduction to the Congo River and the forest.

CTT is very serious about promoting the reserve, the Okapi project, and aiding sustain attention,conservation, and tourism to the park. The park does not have tourist standard lodges so we typically send in our own team and camping and cooking setup to “mobile basecamp” the tourist in the Okapi tour. – However, of course, there is no guarantee to see any Okapis (one of the most elusive and shy mammals in the jungle world fortunately for its survival.)

Join us on this exclusive photography tour focusing on Kinshasa and the Congo-Central Region. We arrange all of the necessary permits and security and go photographing on the streets in Kinshasa, where we will meet the Sapeurs, the snake people and many other colorful characters. Now that large parts of the road between Kinshasa and Mbuji-Mayi are finally passable again, we can now offer this unique journey with many gems along the way. We’ll also take advantage of going to the famous Gungu Festival, which takes place every year on July 21, the Belgian holiday. We’ll camp in the Batéké Plateau, visit Kikwit, Tshikapa, Kananga and Mbuji-Mayi and also visit natural sites such as waterfalls and other beautiful places.
